User Groups
The user groups page can be accessed via the administer menu:
Administer > User Groups
The user groups page forms a part of orcharhino’s user management.
User groups are used to assign roles and permissions on a group basis. orcharhino user groups can be associated with a group on an LDAP server as part of orcharhino’s LDAP support.
Creating a User Group

The User Group tab (1) handles all information required to create a new user group.

The Name field (2) requires a unique and meaningful name. The example chooses
Consultants
. -
The User Groups field (3) allows you to select existing user groups to be part of the newly created user group. This allows you to nest user groups.

The Users field (4) allows you to select the members of the new user group. You may also add users at a later stage.

Clicking the Submit button (5) will save your changes to orcharhino. Remember to also go to the roles tab as shown below:

The Roles tab (1) handles all information relating to roles.

If the Administrator checkbox (2) is ticked, permission filtering based on roles will not take any effect and the user will hold all administrative privileges without constraints.

The Roles field (3) allows you to select permissions based on roles for the new user group.

Remember to click the Submit button (4) to save your changes to orcharhino.
