Provisioning Templates

The provisioning templates page can be accessed via the hosts menu:

Hosts > Provisioning templates

The provisioning templates page houses several types of templates that form a part of orcharhino’s provisioning setup. Provisioning templates are used to generate scripts required for host provisioning.

Provisioning templates are subdivided into several types:

  • Finish template

  • POAP PXE template

  • PXEGrub2 template

  • PXELinux template

  • PXGrub template

  • Provisioning template

  • Script template

  • User data template

  • ZTP PXE template

  • iPXE template

Ensure to associate the provisioning templates with the operating system entry.

Your orcharhino installation comes with all required templates. We do not recommend to manually create new or edit locked templates. Custom templates and unlocked templates do not receive any updates during an orcharhino upgrade.

Use the clone function to customize templates. Note, that cloned or manually created templates are not updated during an orcharhino upgrade.

In case you know what you are doing, and template editing is desirable, the management UI provides extensive tools to do so, including inbuilt documentation on template syntax at https://orcharhino.example.com/templates_doc.
