Puppet Smart Class Parameters

The Puppet smart class parameters page (also referred to simply as the smart class parameters page) can be accessed via the The Configure Menu:

Configure > Smart class parameters

The Puppet smart class parameters page forms a part of orcharhino’s Puppet support. Puppet is currently the default option for configuration management within orcharhino. (See also Puppet Guide).

Puppet smart class parameters are read into orcharhino directly from any Puppet classes that declare them. (See also: Puppet Classes).

Once imported, the default values associated with these parameters can be overridden from within orcharhino. This represents the main (and preferred) way for orcharhino to interact with Puppet (and in so doing, to make use of Puppet for configuration management).

The only alternative is to make use of orcharhino’s smart variables. (See also: Puppet Smart Variables).
