Host Collections

The host collections page can be accessed via The Hosts Menu:

Hosts > Host Collections

The host collections page forms a part of orcharhino’s content management. (See also: Content Management Guide).

Host collections are named groups of content hosts (see also: Content Hosts). The purpose of a host collection is to make it easy to perform content host bulk actions on groups of related content hosts. In particular such bulk actions involve the installation, removal, and update of packages, errata installation, as well as lifecycle, content view, and subscription management.

Note

A content host is a host whose package and errata management is performed by orcharhino. Content hosts need to be registered with orcharhino using the subscription manager. In the following sections we will use the terms host and content host interchangeably for readability.
